Welcome pack for newly registered and certificated-teachers – pilot ending – feedback commences!

Since the beginning of the year, we have sent just over 3,000 welcome packs to those teachers who have just gained certification for the first time. The initiative aimed to make our new teachers feel welcome and valued as members of the professional body for teachers in Aotearoa New Zealand. A broadsheet in the pack aimed to explain the role and functions of the Teaching Council while also including key links to information that could be useful to those who are beginning their teaching journey. 

The pilot for this project has now ended and we are looking to collect and collate more feedback on the packs.
