We are pleased to announce that we are partnering with Te Wananga o Aotearoa in the development and delivery of new micro-credentials. These short courses of study will build leadership capability through the exploration of te Ao Māori principles such as the concept of mana and how this impacts leaders’ experiences within their professional practice as well as the communities they serve. The micro-credentials will contribute to postgraduate study in a leadership and mentoring programme.

We need your feedback! Please click here to complete the survey.

We invite you to complete a 5–10-minute survey covering a variety of questions related to programme insights, design, and delivery.

The information from the survey will help in the co-design of a series of three micro-credentials that will support helping professionals (teachers) to strengthen their understanding of leadership capability.

All of those who participate in the online survey will go into the draw to win a $150 Pak n Save voucher (three to be won).

Background

In 2018, we developed the Leadership Strategy and the Leadership Capability Framework in collaboration with the teaching profession. The strategy and framework are intended to act as guides for building leadership capability and growing leaders at all levels within the teaching profession.

In 2020, the Teaching Council launched Rauhuia. This is a leadership space that enables every teacher, regardless of their role or setting, to have the opportunity to develop their own leadership capability so that through principles and inspirational leadership, a culturally capable, competent, and connected teaching profession achieves educational equity and excellence for all children and young people in Aotearoa New Zealand.
