Kia ora koutou,
Can you believe it’s November already? We’re just weeks away from the end of the year and a well-deserved break.
This is also the time of year when many of our new Initial Teacher Education (ITE) graduates will soon be joining the teaching profession. It’s an exciting time and I’d like to welcome those of you who are new to the profession into our whānau. You probably have a lot of questions, so to help, we’ve made a series of videos specifically for new teachers.
Finally, the end of the year can be really stressful. It often feels as if everything both inside and outside of work all needs to be done by Christmas. I know it’s not always easy, but please remember to take the time you need for yourself also. I hope the remainder of the year goes smoothly for you and I wish you all the best for you and your whānau over the holiday season. Remember to slip, slop, slap, and wrap - enjoy the sun responsibly too!
Noho ora mai,
Lesley Hoskin, Tumu Whakarae | Chief Executive
