Welcome
I have held off sending this newsletter, as there were so many more important matters for you to deal with. Usually, the first message of a new year is a time to extend wishes for a happy new year and think about taking on the year that lies ahead, but we're now nearly in April! Sadly, this year didn't get off to the best of starts with the flooding in the upper North Island over the Auckland Anniversary Day weekend and Cyclone Gabrielle causing so much pain and hardship for so many across the country. Times like these can seem overwhelming, but I know how resourceful and caring teachers are and I know that for those of you directly affected, you’re doing everything you can to take care of yourself, your whānau and communities. Please reach out if you need anything from us, we do want to support you. I'm mindful that the next in our Rauhuia: Terenga Huihuinga | Symposia Series will not be a top priority for some of you right now, but for anyone who is interested, the next symposium will take place on March 30. These symposia are a great chance to discuss leadership in education and have been well received so far. I’m really looking forward to seeing anyone who can join us online for the event. You can read more about this month's symposium below.
