Have your say on the priorities for Teaching Council of Aotearoa for the next 5 years.

Have you ever wondered who decides what the Teaching Council focuses on to support the teaching profession? You do! At least every three years, the Teaching Council asks all teachers, the public, and the Minister for input on its strategic goals for the future.     

Our Governing Council (the majority of whom are practising teachers, principals or ECE professional leaders) set strategic goals for the Teaching Council based on the input and feedback from teachers and ensures the organisation allocates its resource (your fees) to progress these goals over the next three to five years. 

We will soon be asking for your input on the strategic priorities for the Teaching Council for the period 2024-2029 and this year we’ll be taking a simpler approach to getting your feedback with busy teachers and principals / ECE professional leaders in mind (think less reading required). Keep an eye out for our communications on this in the next month or so.
