New PGC resources to implement the 2026 Standards

New resources for professional growth cycles to implement the 2026 Standards for the Teaching Profession.
The Teaching Council has set new standards for the teaching profession. Schools and early childhood education services need to start using the 2026 Standards for the Professional Growth Cycle in 2026.
We have worked with a small group of leaders to co-design a suite of resources to support you with the implementation of the 2026 Standards. Some of these resources are already available on the new, refreshed Professional Growth Cycle (PGC) section of our website. These resources show practical examples of how the Professional Growth Cycle can bring the Standards to life in your own teaching setting.
While resources for each element are available, the key priority as schools and ECE services begin their PGC in 2026 is developing a shared understanding of the 2026 Standards within their own context (PGC Element A). The other element resources can be accessed and revisited as needed.
