Meet the Governing Council
The Governing Council is made up of 13 people, seven elected by the profession - representing ECE, primary and secondary, while the other six are appointed by the Minister of Education.
What is the Governing Council responsible for?
Our Governing Council members are responsible for ensuring our legislative functions are carried out effectively, efficiently, and in the interests of the profession and the public.
The current Council members commenced their 3-year term of appointment on 1 July 2025.
