We would like to acknowledge the passing of Sean Henry Bennet-Ogden, who was a prominent leader in te ao Māori, the education sector and in the history of the Teaching Council Matatū Aotearoa.
He Maimai Aroha ki a Papa Sean Ogden
The chilling bite of winter is upon us. In this time of contemplation and reflection, we mourn those who have passed, as we give thanks for life. We are saddened by the passing of prominent and respected Māori leader Papa Sean (Sean Henry Bennet-Ogden). We farewell him on his journey to reunite with his tūpuna. Sleep the eternal sleep of night, in everlasting peace. Farewell.
